11:00 am Off-the-rack Casualwear competition
Contestants & Family party after all competition. Everyone invited. Refreshments will be served. We will have contests for Moms & Dads. Ad Sales awards & Host/Hostess of the year will be announced.
Sunday April 18 8:45-9:15am Church service. You are welcome to attend in PJ's and hair rollers. All demoninations welcome.
10:00 am. Crowning for 0-3 years and All Boys. 2009 Royalty attire is crowning wear or formalwear. Contestants attire is Cover Miss t-shirt and white shorts, skirts, pants, capri's and white or clear shoes.
No live animals, strollers or camera's permitted in the ballroom at anytime. A detailed schedule will be announced at a later time.
Competition
Beauty- This is the main event. Scored on 1-25 facial beauty, 1-15 personality/projection, 1-10 overall appearance. 0-3 years are NOT judged on modeling ability. Beauty attire can be short or long style dress in any age group. Dress should fit properly, compliment the contestant and be in excellent condition. White shoes & socks with short dresses. Clear or dyed to match shoes with long dresses. Boys can wear tuxedo, suit or Sunday best. NO PROPS ALLOWED IN BEAUTY. 1 minute time limit.
Casual wear- This outfit must be off-the-rack. No decorations added after purchase. Accessories can be custom, ei, hats, shoes, socks, hairbows, etc. Off the rack means this outfit was manufactured in mass quanity and is available for purchase from anyone. It can NOT be custom made for you or anyone else. We have the right to check tags and the machine stitch work. Our judges will know if these outfits are off-the-rack. The reasoning behind off-the-rack casualwear is to allow every child in the pageant an equal opportunity to win without having to purchase expensive custom outfits. Modeling is upbeat beauty modeling. No spins, kicks, jumps or tricks. Toe pops and hands on hips or behind back are ok. Please keep this very simple. Points will be deducted if your modeling is too much. Save your best moves & tricks for Super Model. 0-3 years will not be judged on modeling. Props are discouraged in Casualwear. Scoring will be based on overall appearance and stage presentation. 1 minute time limit.
Natural Photogenic - Can be any size from 4x6 - 8 1/2x11. No frames. All photos must be in a clear protector with name and age group on the back. Color or black & white is accepted. Natural photogenic means just that, natural. No retouching on eyes, mouth, skin, nose, chin, cheeks, ears, etc. The only exceptions are stray hairs, scars, bruises & scratches. If you are unsure, it's best to call us and don't take second hand information. Points will be deducted is retouching is detected. Scoring will be based on facial beauty, quality of print, eye contact, overall appeal.
Super Model events - This is a supreme title pulled after Grand Supreme and before division supreme. You must enter red, white & blue wear and an outfit of your choice(OOC). OOC can be a custom made outfit or off-the-rack. This can be casualwear, swimwear, groovywear, sportswear, westernwear, holidaywear, Disneywear, costume, anything goes. Time limit is 1 minute. Props are welcome but cannot be handled by any Cover Miss staff. Modeling is free style and anything goes. You can be as creative as you wish for Super Model.
Photogenic for SuperModel is Glitz. Judges will be scoring on facial beauty, eye contact and quality of print. Any size, black & white or color. All photos must be in a clear protector. Yes, you can use your natural photos for Super Model. If you using your natural photos for Super Model, you must turn in seperate photos for each competition. Example: If you have 1 photo and are entering it in Natural and Super Model, we must have 2 prints. Or you can use 2 different prints, one for each competition. We cannot use 1 photo for both events as all photos will be seperated and filed.
